Alumni Fellowships
To fulfill DFB’s mission of lowering economic barriers to careers in STEM, we are proud to offer the following fellowship opportunities to DFB Alumni. It is our goal that these awards will enable further engagement with the scientific community and provide invaluable experience to DFB Alumni as they navigate their careers.
Teaching Assistants
We offer one or more Teaching Assistant (TA) positions for DFB Alumni to take an active role in planning and implementing future DFB Courses. Along with a stipend, TAs gain valuable experience in course design, teaching, and more.

Conference Attendance Award
To support DFB Alumni in attending scientific conferences, DFB is offering awards of up to $250 to offset registration costs.
Ten awards will be given in 2023-2024; awards are distributed on a rolling basis.
DFB alumni of all career stages are welcome to apply!
Presenting a poster or talk is not required, but is encouraged!
Summer Research Fellowship
We hope to bring back student fellowships for previous DFB alumni to engage in summer research at the University of Michigan in the future. These fellowships would cover travel, housing, and a stipend from June - August.
